Last Thursday was our cohort dinner, and it was almost perfect except for several things.
I'm not in the mood to write, so please forgive me of you find this post potential to make you vomit.
Let's go through the good things first.
1st:
We finally got the new, air-conditioned bus! I didn't expect that we would be able to book that bus. I mean, since our very first semester in this college, we went out to Kangar, Kulim, Pulau Pangkor and elsewhere in Malaysia, with the old buses (which air-conditioner comes from the outside) and when it rains, we were able to kill one bird with one stone by taking bath in the way to our destination. Why does the bus matters? Of course, can you imagine Cinderella going to the ball, riding a pumpkin pulled by mice?
2nd:
The food was delightful! Well, for me. But maybe not for some others. I enjoyed eating and I don't regret not eating all kind of food, because I'm sure that my stomach cannot accept an extra bunch of unnecessary-food-which-will-make-me-vomit. So, I'm glad that I ate well, not too much or too little.
3rd:
Guess what? I danced. With my classmates, for our class performance. We split into three groups, Skirties, Gaga and Korea. Can you imagine the steps for each group? Skirties was named so because it consisted of the girls who wore skirts or baju kurung for the dinner, so their dance steps were much simpler than the other two's. As for Gaga group, lead by Ridz, should be much "fiercer", as Miss Letch commented. My group, Korea was the best! Our steps were cool enough to stop all the chalkies from eating and start paying attention to the performance. Sorry that I can provide no video for now.
Okay, let's move to the negative side.
1st:
We had to have 3 extra glam-walks, in front of 2 kinds of unexpected audience. When we went to gelanggara to get into the bus, the PISMP students were having BIG (Bina Insan Guru) programme right around gelanggara and we had to walk past them, in our glamourous dresses. All eyes were on us, and our eyes were on the ground. The other audiences were in a Chinese night market which is located right in the road heading to Sunway Hotel. The bus stopped at the conjunction and we had to walk for about 200 metres in front of about 200 people. And when the dinner's over, we had to walk another 300 or 400 metres in front of about 400 people because the bus was parked farther and the market was getting busier. So there goes 3 glam-walks. For sure, we got extra perfumes too.
2nd:
The buffet was closed early at 10.15 pm, which was unfair because we payed for the food! They shouldn't have taken away all the food because we have the rights to finish them all within the other 45 minutes. But I don't think that I'd be one of those who would eat them all. I was full, but still, that wasn't fair at all.
3rd:
There's something I really regret. But since regretting is simply futile, so I will just keep it in mind. Sorry, I cannot share this one with you all.
Anyway, thanks a lot to all the committee members who worked hard to ensure the success of the dinner and also a bunch of thanks to all chalkies who attended the dinner. And thanks to Anwar who didn't attend the dinner but made an effort to contact us by calling through Skype and wished us a great night. By the way, we were really happy and looked at the screen and acted as if you could see all of us, although we knew that you could only see Amirul, who was in front of the laptop. =D
So that's it. Now, where's the other shoe?
